Welcome!

Welcome to the New Beautiful You Skincare Studio Blog, titled 
Skin Care 101!
The Purpose of this blog will be to inform the uniformed, under-informed and those in general interested in learning more about skin care in a non-medical way.  We will do our best to provide pertinent, current and accurate information that will benefit EVERYONE in a positive way.  We pride ourselves on providing the best skin care possible and will do the same to provide information available regarding skin care treatments, products, and protocols.
We welcome comments and questions regarding any posts and would love to blog based on the questions that you may have.  Our goal is to provide an interactive forum for people without feeling pressured to make an uniformed decision that can affect their skin in an adverse way.  Be aware that some of the blogs may be long and somewhat time consuming to read, but we intend to provide as much information as possible in as concise a way as realistic.  If you truly have questions about your skin, your skin care regimen or what to do regarding either, you will make it a priority to read all blogs thoroughly and get all the information necessary to make sound skin care decisions.

  1. Hi Des, I have been using pure cocoa butter this spring with great results except I always have dry lips. Help.

  2. Hi Chris, with as dry as it's been everybody seems to be experiencing dry lips. Have you ever tried a lip exfoliant? You can use sugar and salt as the form of exfoliation. Combine a little less than a teaspoon of both in your hand and mix in a little bit of your pure cocoa butter. Apply the mixture to your lips and rub gently for 1-2min. Rinse with warm water. If you do this 2-3 a week you show see a noticeable improvement in your dry lips. Thanks for the question/comment!. Hope it helps.
